About

Wildflower Finds is a sister-run, sustainable, non-profit initiative raising funds and awareness for grassroots environmental campaigns and Indigenous community organizers.

How

We raise money for these intersecting causes in our spare time by hand-making items to sell through Instagram and at markets. As two university students studying environmental sciences, political science, and Indigenous studies, we put great care into sourcing all of our materials second-hand and ethically. To date, we have sold candles, soup mixes, clothing, hand-knit items, stickers, poems, zines, and watercolour art. We always donate 100% of the funds we raise through a mutual aid approach.

Additionally, we use our social media platform to build community, amplify marginalized voices, organize community drives, plan protests, and contribute to direct action efforts.

Why

We aim to truly embody the sentiment of for-the-people, by-the-people in a way that fosters a culture of community care. We use our position as settler, middle-class, able-bodied youth to redistribute wealth and support Indigenous activists who often face many financial barriers.

Indigenous resurgence, Climate justice, and community care are the motivating forces behind Wildflower Finds. We aim to contribute meaningfully to these movements in a way that centres community, mutual aid, and a spirit of continual growth. We understand and honour that all pursuits of justice are interconnected and cannot be fought in isolation.
